Photographer Frank Noelker has produced a series of full-colour portraits of chimpanzees retired from medical research. Featured in his series are 10 members of our own Fauna family, whose portraits have been the subject of very successful gallery showings in Toronto and Montreal.

Billy Jo, Binky, Donna Rae, Pepper, Rachel, Regis, Sue Ellen, Toby, Tom and Yoko all had their portraits displayed alongside their own artwork in the exhibit "Sacrificed Lives: The Art of the Captive Chimpanzee and Portraits of Frank Noelker". This original show has toured to the Atlantisia Gallery in Yorkville (Toronto), the West End Art Gallery in Westmount (Montreal), the National Home Show (Toronto), and the Organic Buddha Café (Toronto), raising funds to support the Fauna chimpanzees at home.

Now these sensitive portraits are available to our supporters. These new limited edition C-Prints, numbered and signed by Mr. Noelker, provide a warm counterpoint to the more commonplace depictions of non-human primates as clowns and acrobats. Please note, 28" and 10" prints are signed by the artist, 7" reproductions are not.
